You can use Galestorm to scatter the leaves covering the pictograph, revealing the solution to the puzzle outside the cave. Use a Cherry Bomb to blow up the wall to the right, revealing a path that leads to a large pictograph on the floor. When the enemy is defeated, approach the giant mechanism that's blowing out snow over Kamui. Attach with charged, jumping strikes from your Thunder Edge glaive, and equip the Fire Tablet if you're having problems with the enemy's flame attacks. Just past the spiders, you'll have to drop down and fight off a great tengu enemy. To sneak past them without taking damage, use Veil of Mist to slow down time before you dash across the field. On the other side of the obstacle is an outdoor area, and to the left is an area packed with hot platform spiders. You'll need to use Veil of Mist (likely twice) to safely hop over the spinning wheels and avoid being dropped into the chasm below. Move straight north through a doorway and into a room with two large, spinning wheels. Once you reach the top of the spiraling walkway, look for a floor switch you can hit that'll calm down the spinning platforms for good.

The Veil of Mist brush technique will also slow down the spinning platforms enough that you can make your way across them to continue up the path. Again, use Veil of Mist and Power Slashes to reflect the shots and take out the cannons before tackling the obstacles ahead. From there, watch out for enemy cannons positioned around the distant perimeter of the room. Use the Catwalk brush technique to climb the wall and reach an even higher walkway.

The melted ice will fill the room with water, allowing you to use Watersprout to blast Amaterasu upwards to an elevated walkway.įollow the walkway to a rock wall with a cat statue at the top. Pass north through the gate and use Inferno to melt the ice block in the center of the room. With the door to the north opened up, move in to grab the Exorcising Arrow and then backtrack to the beginning of the shrine to open up the locked door. The scales should even out perfectly, letting you use Galestorm to blow the ice ball onto the switch to the north. With the ice blocks melted, move the small tree saplings (located to the southeast) onto the raised scale (east side) and use Bloom to make them grow. Once in the next room, use Inferno again, this time to melt the two ice blocks that are weighing down one side of the large scale inside the room. Use Inferno to melt the ice in front of the doorway with the flames from the surrounding torches. If you find yourself sliding out of control, jump and use air tackles to correct your motion. For now, turn east to move along a very slipper walkway, and be quick about reaching the other end (the ice panels will periodically shatter under Amaterasu's feet). You can then use a Power Slash on the cannon shots to reflect them back at the cannons.Ĭontinue into the shrine and you'll find a locked door staring you in the face. Use the Veil of Mist brush technique to slow down time and make the shots coming from the cannons visible. Almost right away, you'll find a pair of cannons at the far end of the hall that won't let you enter the shrine.
